Istrian pasta festival

It takes place in July, in the area behind the old church of St. Michael. One can taste and buy pasta, cheeses, spices, sauces...

Bartulja

On the last Saturday in August there is a three day folk festival Bartulja, a celebration of the local saint St. Bartholomew. It is the largest folk festival in Istria where you can find a large selection of handcrafted souvenirs and gastronomic specialties.

Dinopark (Funtana)

Only 40 minutes from Žminj there is a first theme park in Croatia. One part of the park is located in an old quarry with mobile life-size dinosaurs. Apart from dinosaurs Dinopark Funtana offers exciting trails through the beautiful countryside and various programs for young and older visitors.

Istralandia (Brtonigla)

The first water park in Croatia is located at the exit of the Istrian Y motorway for Novigrad-Nova Vas. The park stretches on 80 000 m² of which 4500 m² are water surfaces, and offers many facilities like attractive pools, water slides, water castle, dry playground and similar. It is a 35 minute drive from Žminj.
